An established local triathlon club
Our story
The Wessex Wizards Triathlon Club began as a small group of triathletes who started open water swimming at Weymouth in 2007. The original group of eight has grown into a small and friendly triathlon club located in Sherborne, Dorset, where our principal training venue is the Oxley Sports Centre.
The wizards are a good mix of age and ability, and our membership spans novice to experienced triathletes training for all distances, from sprint to Ironman. Since 2007, membership has ranged in age from 18 to 70 and has included para triathletes and age group world championship qualifiers and winners.
Our Home
Our home is the Oxley Sports Centre in Sherborne. Thursday evening Spin and Swim sessions (7 to 8pm and 8 to 9pm respectively) resumed on the 5th September (£6 per session) where we provide training schedules from novice to Ironman and our BTF coaches will be on hand to offer you feedback and support to improve your technique and endurance.
